We use fresh, local ingredients from the Western Isles to create a memorable experience. We combine some of the island's most luxurious produce - such as lobsters or langoustines from the Minch,home-smoked Salmon and loin of Lewis lamb. We also offer an extensive wine list.
Gallan Head is arguably one of the the nation's quirkiest eateries. Set high on a rocky outcrop, it is one of a cluster of former RAF buildings built during Cold War years as a radar base. The complex is now undergoing radical transformation by a colourful and growing community. The spacious restaurant is actually the former Administration centre.
Quickly gathering excellent reviews we aim to keep the produce we use as local as possible taking traditional ingredients and adding our own twist.
GALLAN HEAD is fast gaining a reputation for a fantastic place to dine and stay ,set in some of the most breathtaking scenery the Outer Hebrides has to offer.
